Past embarrassments are not easily forgotten. We all have erasers on the end of our pencils. Paul in Philippians 3:13 is trying to come to terms with his past and look forward with optimism. Some embarrassments can be so severe that mental health therapy and psychoactive medication become highly expedient. We also need to surround ourselves with those that have our better interest in mind. II Peter 1: 5-9 is excellent advice on building character to further save us from future grave mistakes,
