1. Thank you, Donnie! The crescent moon was beautiful last night and somehow I caught a glimpse of it with my phone camera. I liked the lightness of the moon with the contrast of the silhouette of the roof line. Thanks for reading and commenting!

  1. Hafiz was quite an eccentric writer from 14th century Persia. He “lauded the joys of love and wine but also targeted religious hypocrisy”. Almost certainly, he did not endear himself to the ruling Shiite powers that be. Being that Islam is very conservative in content Hafiz became well acquainted with courage, freedom, and light during his natural existence.

    1. I don’t know that he was as eccentric as much as genius. 🙂 I tend to only post quotes from people and writers I really know a bit about and love, even when I post popular quotes. Too many quotes come from out of context and often are misattributed. He definitely is one of my favorite poets! Thanks for reading and commenting.
