“When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams–this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness–and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!”–Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, from Don Quixote
First of all, the photograph is scenic. In any extreme (even theological) there is a degree lunacy. Seeing life in real terms is not surreal but a sign of altruistic passion.
Thanks again for commenting! I love this quote and think it’s the main point of the classic book. I plan to hunker down with the book over the next few weeks. Take care!
