Step Aerobics

Students will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrate proper step technique and safety
  • Participate in an aerobic workout
  • Perform beginner, intermediate, and advance steps within a routine

Cognitive:

The students will be able to:

  • Identify the benefits of participating in step aerobics
  • Understand 8 count and 4 count beats
  • Define F.I.T.T. Principle
  • Differentiate between aerobic and anaerobic exercise
  • Recognize and distinguish among various exercise intensity levels
  • Identify opportunities to participate in step aerobic outside of school

Affective:

The students will:

  • Value the benefits derived from aerobic exercise
  • Make choices to incorporate aerobic exercise in personal exercise routine
